DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN \nBasic Salary: Up to £45,000 Depending on Experience \nOTE: Up to £55,000 \nHours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm | 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am - 1:00pm \nLocation: Cardiff\n\nAre you an experienced Diagnostic Technician looking for your next challenge? \nOur client is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join their successful and growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys fault finding, technical problem solving and complex vehicle repairs whilst benefiting from ongoing manufacturer training, excellent earning potential and genuine career progression.\n\nThis role would suit a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician who thrives on identifying and resolving complex electrical and mechanical faults and takes pride in delivering first-time fixes.\n\nBenefits \n- Competitive Salary Package - Up to £45,000 Basic \n- OTE Up To £55,000 \n- Ongoing Manufacturer Training & Development \n- Modern Workshop Environment \n- Career Progression Opportunities \n- Employee Benefits Package \n- Supportive and Experienced Team\n\nKey Responsibilities \n- Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle faults \n- Carry out advanced fault finding using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment \n- Utilise oscilloscopes, multimeters and specialist testing equipment where required \n- Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards \n- Diagnose engine management, drivability and electrical system faults \n- Carry out repairs including cambelts, timing chains, clutch replacements and major mechanical work \n- Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements \n- Complete road tests, calibrations and quality control inspections \n- Accurately complete job cards, service records and warranty documentation \n- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and right first time \n- Maintain high levels of workshop productivity and technical excellence\n\nSkills & Qualifications \n- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician \n- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) \n- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability \n- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment and software \n- Electrical diagnostic experience highly advantageous \n- Passion for technical problem solving and continuous development \n- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)\n\nWhy Apply?\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established automotive business that genuinely values technical expertise.
